Team Leader-

We are searching for a Team Leader to join our weddings and events team.   The primary duty of this role is to oversee all operations of the facility and be Glass Haus Wedding's main contact on the day of the event. This individual will bring a focus on ensuring a high level of service to, and management of, all users of the building, including the management of all staff and vendors, as well as communication with clients and guests. General oversight of all procedures throughout the day, with a quick resolution of any problems that may come up.


Job Type: Part Time, Contracted Work with Full-Time Growth Opportunity
Experience: 2 years in events industry (preferred)


Duties/Responsibilities:
-Complete opening/closing checklists on the day of the event
-Work closely with Glass Haus Wedding's Operations Manager and Director of Operations in all aspects related to the day of the event
-Work with the Leadership Team to oversee the management of the cleaning contract, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the building
-Introduce yourself to your client and let them know you are there to help with anything throughout the day
-Work with vendors and familiarize them with their respective areas
-Notify The Leadership Team of any building maintenance issues
-Work with the Client’s Wedding Planner or Day of Coordinator to answer any questions and facilitate their event
-Work with the Facility Manager throughout the event ensuring the safety of all guests and staff
-Welcome guests and direct them through the venue as needed
-Identify and quickly resolve any problems that may arise the day of, while maintaining a calming nature
-Publicly represent Glass Haus Weddings in a prepared and professional manner.

Required Qualifications:

Working days: Mainly Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts.


Hours per week: Up to 40 hours depending on candidates' qualifications.

TEAM ROLE OPPORTUNITIES

Setup/Flip Team

  • If you like working with your hands then this is the opportunity for you. This role will set up/tear down Chairs, Tables and large decor items amongst other tasks to get the property ready for a wedding.

    HOURS OF WORK:

    • Start time between 7am and 8am and could work to 2pm or 4:30pm window.

    Wedding Event Management (Coordination)

    The heart of a wedding is decorations and event management. We are looking for those that would have fun decorating and assisting with the details of a wedding.

    HOURS OF WORK:

    • Start time between usually at 10am

    • This role can either choose to work for the entire event (11pm) or in 6 to 8 hour shifts

    Security/Clean Up

    This is an evening role. You would be in charge of security - ensuring everyone leaves safely and the venue guidelines are enforced. You would also help with clean up at the end of the night.

    HOURS OF WORK

    • Either 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm or

    • 8pm to 12:30 am

Maintenance/Landscaping

This is a weekday role. You would be in charge of maintaining the grounds and facility to be beautiful on the exterior and properly functioning on the interior. Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding the building. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains inside and outside of building

Responsibilities:

    • Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.

    • Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower.

    • Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.

    • Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.

    • Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others.

    • Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.

    • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling.

    • Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties.

    • Sweep walkway of debris.

    • Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.

    • Trim shrubs and pull weeds.

    • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.

    • Set up and take down of lawn furniture.

    • Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.

    • Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture.

    • Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.
